Poison Oak

Poison Oak
Foster's Park, Golden Hour
Ventura, Calif. 2009

Took Tessie on a hike into the hills after work. The light was amazing. It is pretty incredible that all of a half dozen foot steps can take you from the grind of the city ot the majesty of the back country. Unfortunately the entire trail was knee high in poison oak. I will pay for this I am sure. I saw one bobcat, two skunks, and swallowed three black flies. Tessie saw one fluffy play toy, two bite size hors d'Ĺ“uvre and chomped down on as many black flies as she could reach. Thankfully we made it back to town in one piece smelling only as nasty as we started.

Poison oak can really be quite photogenic in the right light...

Chillaxing.
