Memorial Day 2009
Ojai, Calif.
I took Tessie out for her first "official" hike on the Sunday before Memorial Day. She has been on quite a few shorter hikes in the hills and beaches around town. This was to be her first ten miler, straight up hill both ways, carrying a 500lb. pack just for good measure. She did okay for a rookie pupper. She is quite ready for the AT just yet but she is a real trooper.
"Bro' you got a thingymabobber right here. No worries, I'll get it for yah!"
Its been kinda warm lately out in Ojai, slowly pushing triple digits. We did a hike that criss-crossed a stream every mile or so. Tess definately has gotten over her fear of water. She loves to splash it around and try to eat it. Crazy pupper!
