I went for a walk the other night, feeling sort of nostalgic that my days here
along the Gold Coast are numbered. I brought the LensBaby along. You never know
when a moment will present itself, even at night. So this is the neighborhood.
I have heard folks call it the ghetto. For me though, it is simply "home."

These last few months I have spent quite a bit of time out in the dessert wandering around. The desolate loneliness is a comfort and an inspiration. These are a handful of the paintings in the series on the desert, with the photos that inspired them.
